Banjara craft, rooted in the vibrant traditions of the Lambani community originates from Rajasthan and North Gujarat. The lambanis are historically a nomadic tribe, migrating acrooss India in search of economic opportunities. Praticularly practiced by the women of the community, Banjara embroidery is known for its rich use of color, detailed mirror work and bold g eometric patterns.Traditionally, the women create garments adorned with a variety of stitches, including cross – stitch, mirror insertion, and applique.
